If you want to stay on trend, just look outside your window and run with the colours you see. Seriously, the Pantone fashion chart for Spring/Summer ’17 points to earthy tones and vivid hues.
“One of the things that we saw this year, was a renewed sense of imagination in which colour was appearing in context that was different than the traditional,” said Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute. “Reminiscent of the hues that surround us in nature, our Spring 2017 Fashion Color Report (pictured above) evokes a spectrum of emotion and feeling.” Think lots of summer sun, lush greens, and of course sparse desert tones.
We’re particularly taken by these, and so is everyone from Dries Van Noten to Rosie Assoulin! Here are our top five, with Pantone cards to match.
