It’s all about style and grace on the Ballerina Project. I love that they’ve created a different image of ballerinas than most people imagine. Forget the tutus and nutcracker theme song, and think street art, muscular legs, and gorgeous shapes. This account makes me want to get back to barre class immediately!
There’s something so honest and relatable about Sarah Wilson, the NYT bestselling author and founder of I Quit Sugar. While her personal account, @_sarahwilson_, is entertaining, I prefer the @iquitsugar account for inspiration. I admire their stance on eating whole foods and ensuring the least amount of food wastage possible. The I Quit Sugar lifestyle is something I would love to follow, but working in the food and beverage industry there’s temptation everywhere. This account reminds me to eat well and treat my body better.
I want to be best friends with Jordan Ferney. The @ohhappyday stories are hilarious and the feed is colourful, cheery, and makes me want to throw a party ASAP. I follow Chef Rene, because of the progressive manner in which Noma pushes its food. They use the best ingredients you can find in the world, some of which even I have never seen before. I find it really inspiring that I learn something new from this account all the time. From ingredients, to uses, to presentation. It doesn’t hurt that I recently met his wife in Mumbai – she was super honest and super chill.
David Chang is living a chef’s dream life. Most of his posts are of him eating his way around the world, usually at friend’s restaurant, and it’s absolute #foodporn. He makes everything look and sound delicious, from a piece of chicken to a badass omakase menu in Tokyo. To top it off, he’s unfiltered and raw which is something I relate to.
Tom Colicchio is a chef’s chef. Not only does he show his gorgeous food on his account, but he pushes causes he believes in like ethical fishing and farming. Sustainability is something we all need to rally behind, especially those of us in the food industry. I have mad respect for this chef.
