Gigi Hadid in La Detresse streetwear.
The cool street label championed by the likes of Gigi Hadid and Shay Mitchell is an embodiment of the LA street aesthetic. Established in 2017 by Alana Hadid– a member of the close-knit Hadid clan, you can see a certain familiarity in the casual luxury style often sported by the model sisters. But also, think all the paparazzi shots of celebrities stepping out for a morning coffee sporting a bedhead, their leashed dogs, probably another trendsetting Balenciaga bag worn with sweatpants –which seem like an afterthought that quickly becomes the trend. The brand is synonymous to “DTLA” (Down town Los Angeles), the vibe they represent in their comfy yet dressed-to-take-on-the-street looks.
