Ex-Nihilo: A Fragrance Born from Nothing
Ex Nihilo is a Parisian fragrance house founded by a young trio from Paris in 2013, that aims to define its own conception of personalized luxury and is inspired by creative Avant-Garde and the French spirit of pure refinement.
Ex Nihilo, derived from the Latin expression, “created out of nothing”, seeks to deliver a personalized, modern and luxury approach to fragrance. Their fragrances are crafted with meticulous attention to detail providing a refined and unique sensory journey.
Benoît Verdier, an ex Marketing Communications Director at Enies Group, Olivier Royère, who worked as a banker before co-founding the brand, and Sylvie Loday, an engineer by trade and former Global Account Manager at Givaudan, are the brains behind the brand.
Being self-proclaimed fragrance heads, they collectively decided to leave their jobs behind for an entrepreneurial perfume journey in 2013. They opened their first store on the prestigious Rue Saint-Honoré, a noteworthy retail entry for a newcomer brand.
